A new and final release—that increases treasury funding and Masternode and staking rewards, and facilitates support for decentralized exchanges—is available for download!

PIVX v5.5.0 Core wallet has been published and is available for download!

It's a mandatory Core Wallet update which adds code cleanup and support for new Decentralized Exchanges (DEXes) through backports of new Bitcoin functionality.
The most important new features include:
1) A 10X increase in payments allocated to the treasury to fund operations and initiatives.
2) A doubling of Masternode rewards to increase the number of Masternodes.
3) A doubling of Staking rewards to enhance security.

These increases start at the next PIVX superblock on or around January 21, 2023. The enforcement date for the upgrade has not been set yet, but will be soon and announced with little notice. As such, we ask you to update your wallet immediately, so that you can avoid replacing your chain. The v5.5.0 release comes with a protocol change, which means that your Masternodes will need to be restarted once you upgrade both the controller wallet and the Masternode daemon.

Release notes of this wallet update can be found: https://github.com/PIVX-Project/PIVX/releases/tag/v5.5.0

FAQ

1. Do I have to upgrade?

2. Do I have to upgrade my Masternodes as well?
Yes, you must upgrade all your wallets, including the Masternodes. Furthermore, please note that you need to restart the Masternode from Control wallet after you successfully upgrade both the Control wallet and the Masternode daemon to v5.5.0.
